Seacoast’s original Touch-a-Truck event at Pease 9/21. See the BIG ones rolling into town!
Ever wonder what it’s like to be behind the wheel of a ladder fire truck? If your children (or you!) have a love of large vehicles and trucks, the Annual Waypoint at the Richie McFarland Children’s Center Touch-a-Truck event is an opportunity to get up close and personal in a safe and protected environment.
Waypoint will hold the 18th annual Touch-A-Truck fundraiser on Saturday, September 21, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at Pease International Tradeport, between One New Hampshire Avenue and Two International Drive. It’s a rain or shine event!
Geared toward families with children of all ages, Touch-a-Truck features construction equipment, trucks, buses, a race car, an 18-wheeler, and more, for children to look at, climb on, and explore.
The event also features food and Kona Ice, kid-friendly activities, roaming railroad rides, and much more.
Tickets are $5.00 per person ($20 per family maximum) and can be purchased at the event or online. If tickets are purchased online, the e-mail receipt must be presented at the gate.
Proceeds from Touch-a-Truck support vital programs provided by Waypoint at the Richie McFarland Center including services for children under 3 with or at risk of a developmental delay. Waypoint works in partnership with families to optimize cognitive, physical, emotional, and social development. Services are life-changing for families.
“This program has been a wonderful experience for our child and our whole family,” says a Waypoint program participant, “My child loved getting to know his home visitor through her visits to our house. He was so shy when he started and spoke maybe 5 words or less. Over the many months working with her, he has blossomed into a brave, confident, and expressive child. We are so grateful for the program.”
