Hiking With Kids Workshop & Trail Walk

July 27 @ 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM

Free

Join local author and former ecologist Sarah Lamagna for a fun morning all about hiking with kids! The session will start with a DIY trail mix bar, where families can put together the perfect trail mix combo before sitting down for a short presentation when Sarah will discuss all the tips and tricks when hiking with kids, plus provide some goodies for all that attend. Then we will head outside to enjoy a walk led by Sarah on Near Point Trail. This preserve includes the headquarters of York Land Trust and a 3/4-mile loop trail through meadows and forest along Smelt Brook, with scenic views of expansive marshlands and a pond. This program is free and open to the public. Please register here: https://www.yorklandtrust.org/event/hiking-with-kids-workshop-trail-walk/
