Children will dive into the heartwarming story “I Can Show You I Care” by Susan Cotta and explore the concepts of empathy and caring for others in an engaging and accessible way. The story will serve as an inspiration for young minds to understand the importance of compassion in their daily lives.

After the story, children will have a chance to practice hands-free compassionate touch*, which is essentially energy work. This gentle practice allows kids to learn how to offer comfort and support to those they care about. The kids will also develop their ability to ground themselves by learning what it feels like in their own body. From this grounded state, whether it’s hands on or off, they will easily create a compassionate, healing connection.

Please bring whatever your child needs to sit comfortably in the grass. Blanket, yoga mat, chair, etc

Age range 4-11, only because I know some kids just don’t do well sitting for a story and then following prompts/instructions, in a group setting. If you think your kid will benefit from something like this they are more than welcome, any age. Especially if it’s easier to bring your whole tribe than to divide them.

*If kids and parents are comfortable with hands-on, they are more than welcome to. We do hands off for a couple reasons one of which is because the school system doesn’t like hands-on and the other is because sometimes our boo-boos are bloody and we don’t want kids putting hands on open wounds. This is something that we talk about though.
