Free “Exploring Our Way Autism Partnership Program” at CMNH 4/5!

Exploring Our Way sessions are held on the first Sunday of each month during the school year from 10am-12pm, the Children’s Museum of NH offers free admission to families with children who have Autism Spectrum Disorders.

Families can explore the museum together, with support as needed from museum staff, trained volunteers, and special materials that include mapping tools and social stories. Different regional experts attend each session to offer information, and a variety of resource materials are available as well.

No reservations are necessary, and families are welcome to stay and play after the museum opens to the public at noon. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

About Exploring Our Way Program

This program provides opportunities to enjoy family time at the museum in a safe, understanding environment, allows parents to network with one another, and will help families discover new resources available to them. Special materials will be available for participants, including MAPPS™ (Museum Advance Planning Picture Stories), visual supports using PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System), a Children’s Museum of New Hampshire map and more. Exploring Our Way visitors are welcome to stay and play when the Children’s Museum of New Hampshire opens to the public at noon. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
